World Student Day is an annual day that unites our global movement – students, staff, and supporters – to celebrate all that God is doing through IFES, and to pray for one another and the needs and opportunities for the coming year. Find out more.
Starting early in the evening and going all through the night, we prayed for student groups in our country and around the globe using prayer cards from the website, and organising video calls.
Is there a clearer manifestation of God’s people acting as one body as this? We are not on our own, and on World Student Day you can see it, you can hear it, you can know it for sure!

On World Student Day, I was also able to reconnect through Facebook and Whatsapp with my World Assembly friends. I listened to what was happening in their respective movements and we prayed for each other.
It’s a huge encouragement to know that others are praying for your group especially in times of spiritual dryness on campus. And we can do the same for them!

From 8am to 5 pm on World Student Day, our staff worker sent out texts every hour to all the students in our group with prayer requests from various IFES movements around the world.
Being able to commune with other students in prayer, and connect with them virtually made the fact that we are part of the same body, doing the same work, very vivid. We are part of something much bigger that is bringing glory to God!
