People prayed in 2018
And we gathered a global offering to pioneer new student groups. You can still join in by browsing prayer requests from students or giving to pioneering work.
In 2019, we plan to pray together on Friday 18 October.
Today there are more than 200 million students worldwide. There are countries, cities and forgotten corners of campuses, without anyone to introduce these students to Jesus.
Join thousands of people around the globe to pray for God to do something new in this generation of students on 19 October 2018.
For World Student Day this year we’re inviting you to consider how you could be a pioneer on your campus. Where are there unreached students in your university? What new step could you take to reach the students around you?
This doesn’t have to be a big new initiative. It could be a deliberate decision to take ten minutes to pray for your classmates on your way to a lecture. It could be inviting your friend to look at the Bible with you.
We’d love to be praying for you as you try something new. Share what you’re doing and how other students can pray for you by sharing a prayer request.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19
In our first live session, hear about pioneering work in India from Sathish. We’ll also be speaking to a student in Singapore and a staff-worker in the Czech Republic.
Come and hear from Micaël about Bible/Quran discussion groups in France and meet some guests from IFES movements in French-speaking Canada and Francophone Africa.
With host Flemlyn from Guyana, hear about pioneering work in the Caribbean and meet guests from IFES movements in Ukraine, the US and New Zealand.
How can you pray for students? How can others pray for your student group? We’ll have prayer cards online from 1 September and you’ll be able to print off copies for your prayer meetings.
